Main responsibilities:
- Closing & Accounting
- Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual closing
- Review accounting postings, reconciliations and balance sheet positions
- Monitor accruals, provisions and year-end adjustments
- Oversee VAT, VIES and Intrastat reporting
- Support audits and inspections by external parties and authorities
- Follow legislative changes and participate in their implementation.
Team, Processes & Projects:
- Lead, support and develop the accounting team
- Maintain the accounting closing calendar and coordinate responsibilities across departments
- Act as main coordination point between Accounting, Shared Service Center and other business functions
- Prioritize accounting-related topics together with the Finance team
- Contribute to the improvement of accounting processes, controls and reporting
- Support SAP/ERP activities and finance-related projects.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- Good knowledge of IFRS and Bulgarian tax legislation (VAT & Corporate Tax)
- Minimum 5 years accounting experience, including team supervision
- Experience with statutory closing and audits
- SAP experience is an advantage
- Very good command of English.
