Accounting manager

Main responsibilities:


  • Closing & Accounting
  • Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual closing
  • Review accounting postings, reconciliations and balance sheet positions
  • Monitor accruals, provisions and year-end adjustments
  • Oversee VAT, VIES and Intrastat reporting
  • Support audits and inspections by external parties and authorities
  • Follow legislative changes and participate in their implementation.


Team, Processes & Projects:


  • Lead, support and develop the accounting team
  • Maintain the accounting closing calendar and coordinate responsibilities across departments
  • Act as main coordination point between Accounting, Shared Service Center and other business functions
  • Prioritize accounting-related topics together with the Finance team
  • Contribute to the improvement of accounting processes, controls and reporting
  • Support SAP/ERP activities and finance-related projects.


Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • Good knowledge of IFRS and Bulgarian tax legislation (VAT & Corporate Tax)
  • Minimum 5 years accounting experience, including team supervision
  • Experience with statutory closing and audits
  • SAP experience is an advantage
  • Very good command of English.
