At Sofia Med, our foundry specializes in the semi-continuous casting of copper, batch casting of brass and special alloys, along with the continuous casting of copper rod.
We produce a diverse range of high-quality alloys, including slabs, billets, and copper rods. Our foundry is equipped with the latest lines and furnaces to process copper, brass and specialized alloys, adhering to rigorous industry standards. We collaborate closely with the Product and Process Development department to optimize processes and improve both productivity and quality.
Our improvements focus on eliminating or reducing workplace risks and hazards and involve detailed risk assessments for every role, machine and piece of equipment. Through strong corporate governance, we assign responsibilities and track key performance indicators for continuous improvement.
Our “Zero Accidents” vision underscores our dedication to occupational health and safety. We aim to achieve it through regular safety training, effective risk management, and maintaining safe working conditions. Sofia Med’s Occupational Health and Safety Management System, certified to ISO 45001:2018 standards, helps us monitor and mitigate incident risks. We conduct frequent health and safety training, annual medical examinations for all employees and daily, weekly and monthly inspections, using the Intelex digital platform for incident reporting, investigation and analysis. By continuously increasing H&S training hours, Sofia Med strengthens its safety culture across all operations.
